Poor Edgar Degas
Edgar Degas was a French painter and sculptor. He was also famous for his experties in printmaking and drawing. He is distinguished to be one of the founders of Impressionism. He was famous for his crafts on painting that highlighted female nudity with the theme on Impressionism. Degas, who was an Impressionist, had works who are “understandable but contained insufficient description.” Impressionists presents the realities of the world by using bright colors, highlighting the effects of light and injecting the use of lights to portray scenes with immediacy.
His ambition was really to become a history painter. This entailed him to undergo academic training and exposure to the art world. But throughout the years of painting, he realized that he wanted to become more of a classical painter that deals with modernity and modern life.
Because this genius had devoted his entire self to his craft, he never got married. He had the fame and luxury when he was young, but when he got old, he was sad and lonely. He spent his last years of his life wandering in the streets in Paris. He was nearly blind. He was even outlived many of his closest friends.
